CISP Secondary Retreat 2014

For three days each year, the secondary of CISP (grades 7-12, plus teachers) go on a retreat. We play games, eat, socialize, worship, and hear what God has to say through our student leaders. It is always a special time. Student connect with students. Students see their teachers as real people. Students and teachers are challenged by what God has to teach them. This year was no different.

I saw seventh graders joking with their teachers over lunch. I witnessed a high school student be moved to tears after hearing the testimony of a classmate.  I saw eleventh grade students socializing with eighth grade students. After chapel times, I had the privilege of being a part of a discussion group with a wide age group of girls. We talked about sin. We discussed the greatness of God's love for us. We listened to testimonies and discussed our personal strengths and weaknesses.

I give God the glory for the smiles, tears, laughs, hugs, songs, games, and conversations that happened. I am so thankful that He let me be a part of His work in the hearts of our students at CISP.
