We took the kids to a small outdoor rink that isn't too far from some touristy areas in Prague. At the beginning of the week, I had some students finding little things to complain about. "The rink is going to be too small." "How is this going to be fun with all of us there?" "Do I really have to skate?" I expected this much, they are middle school students after all. I told them to keep having positive attitudes and I assured them it would be fun.I will let you look at the pictures and you can decide for yourself if they had fun or not.
Getting ready!
We have some very talented skaters. They were skating circles around their PE teacher. Some play hockey. We have one girl who is a competitive ice skater (maybe Olympics someday.)
We also have some students who were learning to skate for the first time.
They had a great time together and they were able to help each other out on the ice.
They played the Gangnam Style song (you can see some of them kind of dancing).
Lots of smiles... such a great thing to see.
Praises:
1. The students had a wonderful time skating, they even said so the next day at school.
2. Everyone was safe and we didn't even have to get the first aide kit out.
3. Christmas break has now started and God got us through one of the busiest times of year at school.
Prayer Requests:
1. There are many of us who need a restful break so we are ready to start again strong in January.
2. A lot of our school staff are traveling to the States for Christmas, please pray for safe and easy travels.
3. Please pray for those of us who are not going home and who will be away from family on Christmas.
